Motivation: What Makes People Tick?

What makes people tick? This module will explore this issue from several angles, but our underlying message is simple: The best way to make people productive is to connect with their internal motivations, support them, and build ways to measure and adapt to changes in motivation.
People are happiest when they are working hardest at tasks in which they are profoundly engaged.
Understanding the impact of changes you make – and those that happen unintentionally as your organization evolves – is essential. Your ability to understand the motivation of key employees and of your employee base as a whole will be one of the most important indicators of the health of your organization – indeed, one of the few leading indicators you’ll have – and a critical source of data to help you optimize how the organization functions.
